Ya, I was almost creamed three times today while riding my bike.
I think there should be tougher licensing for drivers then gun owners.
Over half of the people on the road have a #$@$ cell phone shoved in their ear.

Wow I am not even sure where to start.

I think they should show this for sure in drivers ed to all the teenagers. I really think it would help them stop and think about how deadly driving can be. And how your should really pay attention as soon as you get behind the wheel

Maybe they don't do it anymore, but when I was in high school driver's ed, they showed films like this to us.  Like this one, the films were a combination of reenactments and actual crashes.  If anything they were more graphic than this one.  I remember two incidents in particular.  On was a young woman who had been drinking and had 2 little kids in the back seat.  She pulled out in front of a semi truck in her station wagon, getting run over.  Pretty messy, it showed the little kids in the back seat literally being strained through the seat covers.  Another showed a guy who had just run off the road into a field and was ejected from his car.  He was dead, but was flopping around on the ground like a fish out of water.  This was real footage from actual crashes.  For most kids all this made an impression for maybe 5 minutes at best, then they got over it.  Some kids weren't fazed at all, laughing and joking about the gore.  And this was back in the early '70s, before kids got used to all the graphic violence available in movies today.  People get over that kind of stuff pretty fast if it isn't personal.

The problem with these types of video's, is that we see them everyday in the movies and on TV, they are not real to us anymore... we have been so inoculated by today's hollywood graphics and movies that the lines between reality and fiction are a blur.

High Wall is right... the impression is short lived... how many of you watched it this morning, thought about it on the drive to work, but by the time you were on your way home... did you remember any of the video and change you driving habits?

I still think they should show it in drivers ed. Even if it only helps 1 out of 30 drivers become more respectful, cautious, and alert. Isn't that worth it?

We used to have to watch Faces of Death in drivers Ed. The only reason I remember it is because we always compared them to Friday the 13th... had nothing to do about driving.

It feels good to scare the crap out of someone as a teacher, thinking that you have made an impression, truth is, it doesn't work. There are much more effective ways to teach and drive the point home... all these stupid Meth commerecial are the same thing. Kids laugh at them, they see better gore on TV and at the movies.
