Just thought I would let you all know that I recently tried SWFA's trade\purchase program, and it worked great!

I've been wanting to get a new scope for a while and needed to trade or sell one of my scopes, in order to justify buying a new one.  I had heard about this program and since I've had good service from them in the past when I've purchased Super Snipers and other stuff, I thought I would give it a try.

I sent a request for "trade-in" quote to them around July 20th.  The next day I got a reply back with the trade-in amount and instructions on where to send the scope, if I agreed to the amount.  I was still pondering what scope I wanted next and had contacted various people to have a gander at their scopes.  So, I did not reply or send my scope in right away.

Around July 28th, I was still on the fence as to what I wanted.  One of the scopes that I was heavily leaning to is not even sold by SWFA, so I thought I would send in another request, only this time it was a request for purchase.  This time it took them a couple of days to get back to me, but when they did, the purchase price was $50 more than the trade-in price.  It was good enough for me and was actually more than what I had been seeing similar scopes selling for, so I boxed the scope up and sent it off.

SWFA received the scope on Aug. 5th.  I got the check from them yesterday, Aug. 23rd.  Not too bad of a turn around.

Needless to say, I'm happy and would highly recommend this program.  I've heard that they will even buy guns.

Their website is www.SWFA.com

Have you decided on a scope yet?
The more I look through the Vortex the more I like it.
Let me know if you need a second look.

I did.  I went with another Nightforce.  This time I went with a MLR reticle and 1/10 mil high speed knobs with zero stop.  It will be interesting going from MOA to MIL's, but I think I'll be ok.  I decided to just stick with the scope that I know and like a lot.

Thanks again for letting me look through your Vortex.  I was close to buying one of those, but in the end the Nightforce won out.

I'm still on the fence with the Vortex, one day I'm selling the Nightforce and buying another Vortex then I think I'm selling everything and switching to USO Huh?

I would like to checkout the high speed knobs on your Nightforce sometime.

It was a struggle the past few months.  There's a lot of nice scopes out there anymore.  In some respect I went with the Nightforce because that's what I already have.  If I could justify a Schmidt and Bender, I would have went with one of those, but $3100 is a bit much.

I'd be happy to show you the high speed turrets.  There pretty sweet!

Was curious to see what they would offer on my six month old scope as I'm thinking of upgrading. Is a VX-II 3-9x40 with the long range duplex, $330, in perfect condition. Their offer.... $150.    yeah right.

Try again later on.

You might also try sending in both the cash offer and trade offer forms.  I did that, about a week apart.....sent in a trade in form first, then sent the cash offer form a week later.  The cash form came back with more money, so I took that.

They might be overstocked on Leupolds right now too, thus the low offer.
