The local fun store has one and I am thinking about replacing my mossberg 590.

Those who have shot one or have one i have a couple of questions.

How reliable are they with cheap bird-shot,
ease of breakdown for cleaning
any good reliable mag extensions available

any known problems with them?

I have an Benelli/HK M1 and have never had any problems.  What's the difference between the M1 & M2?

Have a M1 as long as you keep the rails that the bolt cycles on
you should not have any problems...
Have used it in three gun and hunting, shooting sporting clays, 1oz loads
seem to cycle ok use them to shoot pigeons....
Bought a factory tube years back, Brownells should have one get in touch with
RK Gunsmith or post on site others  may have one that they don't use...

I think I'm running the M2 and I have a Nordic Components extension on it.  12 rounds all together.  The gun has about 800 rounds through it with no malfs... Don't know if it is easy to take apart yeat as I haven't done it!  It runs everything I have put in it with the exception of the reduced recoil Fiocci's.  It is getting close to running them, but not quite yet.

well I said screw it and took in the mossberg and traded it in towards the M2.
I got a really good deal on it that i couldn't pass up. It was marked $699.00 new I ended up only paying $399 plus tax. not to mention the $150 factory rebate going on right now on M2 tacticals Grin

I cant wait to get out there and ring this puppy out, it is way lighter then I thought and I am looking at the Nordic components mag extensions for the 3 gun matches.

You are obviously ready to pay for a grade A tactical weapon and since you asked I would go with a Vang Comp Systems shotgun first.  I think they do the best job on tactical shot guns.  Our city Police have Wilson Combat shot guns and we have Vang Comp's, I like ours better.

Now is that like Glock's "no reloads" warning, or can you legitimately screw up the gun?

got out and shot the M2 for a little bit, and it was nice not having to pump for once.

It ate everything i put in it;high brass #6's, 3" steel #2's, and yes even the cheap federal bulk #7.5 stuff. The gun recoiled more then I was expecting but was more then manageable and the 3" steel spit out a good flame as well.

It will take some time to get used to the rifle sights but overall I am really happy with the M2

I have the M2 tactical with the Nordic Components extension tube and barrel clamp with rail. The Benelli ROCKS! You can literally get all the hulls in the air at the same time the action is sooooo fast. Have fun!

i have been looking at the nordic extension and even though its at little more then I wanted to spend I have head nothing but good stuff about it.

Is it worth it to get the clamp for the extension, or will it be ok with out it?

I got the clamp with the mini rail for a light--- makes the extension rock solid with the barrel too.
