I was out of town at a Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday and was able to man handle an FN-SCAR.  I wanted to see how it felt compared to my ACR.  It is a bit lighter and comes with the folding/telescopic stock for a little less money.  The cocking handle reciprocates with the bolt.  The one on the ACR stays put, both are reversible.  The grip on the ACR is part of the lower and feels like a MagPul MADI grip, on the FN it is and standard AR type and replaceable.  The FN comes with a Yankee Hill flash 3-prong flash hider that can accept a suppressor.  The ACR comes with a standard A2 style flash hider.  I think Bushmaster figured with all the different types of flash hiders out there they would just put on the cheapest and let everyone put on some thing different if they wanted.  I put a Phantom type flash hider on my ACR and would have done the same with the FN.  The ACR and the FN both have ambi controls the work well but the FN does not have an ambi bolt stop.  It looks like a standard AR type and you could probably use a BAD lever. The ACR had a price tag of about 1900 on it and I think the SCAR was about 1800.  I still like my ACR better but if I had to go take care of business with a stock SCAR I wouldn't feel bad about that in the least.

The SCAR is on my short list. First things first...I'll chop it to a 10in. SBR

The SCAR-H was fun, and very controlible in select-fire mode ;-)

I read something hilarious today..
