Bottom pocket:

Layout #1 - 4" Israeli Compression bandage, Kerlix, Cavalry Arms tourniquet
Layout #2 - AMK TraumaPak, Cavalry Arms tourniquet

Between the pockets:

Right now I'm using Layout #2.

While we were on a raft trip on the Salmon river, my boy stepped on a sharp rock and cut the bottom of his big toe pretty bad.  The guides luckily had a pretty well stocked first aid kit that had a big enough butterfly bandage that held the cut skin in place through the rest of the trip.  It is mostly healed now and he has not had much pain - mostly due to having something for an unexpected event.  You just never know ...

I hope I'm not stepping on toes here - if so, delete this.

Without doing extensive shopping I got to about $140.  A number of the items could be cheaper if bought in bulk and then split up among several people.  I am not volunteering to do this or sell anything - just what I found in a quick search for the items.

I think I would try to add a few items like the folding scissors (have to find the good ones, not the crap that Coughlin's packages), some tweezers, and maybe a scalpel.

This seems like an excellent product to add to SawTac's inventory if Jeff had the time and inclination.

I have an account set up for perty much anything medical related that doesn't require a prescription. It will still cost a bit to set up a kit but it will be less costly as we'll be buying most things by the case. If you guy's come up with a list of what you want in a kit I'll add things up and get a price per person. Or I can come up with a kit of what I think should be in a typical outdoors/basic trauma kit as I do have a bit of experience with wilderness trauma.

BTW, it looks like I might be selling some new FAK supplies.  One of my friends (a former combat SAR/Swimmer and paramedic) is going into the business.  With his stuff and some Cavalry Arms medical accessories I should be able to put together a decent, and inexpensive, blow out kit.
