Do you bring cleaning kit into the field?.... Hunting trips, varmint shooting and just goofing around... Years back stuck a case in my rifle deer hunting....No cleaning rod.......nothing, one of the guys in a camp near us had a cleaning rod, popped out the stuck case.. Have had snow in the barrel of the black powder rifle, we taped the end to stop the problem.. Now I carry a cleaning rod kit from a M16 brush and patches....and black electrical tape for bad weather.... What are some of your field tricks?....

Multitool, cleaning rod segments, brush and mop, lens pen. My lever gun once had one of those stoppages that could only be resolved by disassembly. Brush, mop and segments for the rare occasion I go for an unintended swim, or maybe roll around in the mud. Lens pen for cleaning glass.

Blue tape on the barrel, and a rod, breakfree clp, patches, and a multi-tool in the truck for post-rain wipedown or field repairs. But if the gun is really hosed, I also have a beater rifle in the truck as a backup.

Tape the barrel prior and always have a couple extra strips on the mag. floor plate. I try to use lens caps, but they have a tendency to snap off sometimes , sometimes I carry cleaning rods for stuck cases, thankfully haven't had to use them.

I keep a rod, patches, some CLP, and a multi-tool in the car. And a beater rifle.
Don't carry any of that in the field. I do tape the barrel, and have a second section of tape wrapped around the lower barrel for after the shot.
