Well last week end we get 6 free chickens, 3 hens and 3 chicks.

Medium size layers. I have an area fenced in and got a free coop from a great member of the board here...thank J!

Hope to see some eggs soon.

On Wednesday I got 4 Icelandic sheep. 1 Ram, 2 Ewes and a baby ewe.

The chickens are easy to set up. Water, pellets and scratch for the babies and they are good to go.

Now the sheep, I need to buy Alfalfa, Anyone have a good source?Huh? Cheap and good stuff, please

Next I need to find shearing tools or someone who does that kind of work.

I put this into preps because this will mean food and milk, cheese, wool for knitting, eggs, feather for bedding...

Something for everyone to think about.

Chicken are easy....very little room needed for them

At least he doesn't have a rabbit squirrel hutch.  dancing banana

I posted a WTB for a coop in the Swap Meet.  I guess J didn't see it.  Sad  I'm jealous.  Next time I'm over I want to check everything out.

Sorry Jeff I was using the coop when you posted you needed one. New dog started killing chickens and I had to make the new coop mahal and NGO just happen by the house shortly after.

No worries. It would have meant more work and I don't need that.
