I have had people tell me this kind of stuff about their stores all over the place. This is just another reason why I will never do business with them. If my choice is between (1) them instantaneously and (2) waiting for a stranger I flagged down in the middle of nowhere at 3am in December to drive another hour hour and a half and call fj40 to bring me some gas, I'll be cold for a while because the second choice has a better track record.
Screw "Les Scab". A decade ago I bought a car from a local dealer. It had a tire separate about two weeks after I got it. They were Scab tires on it, so I took it to their shop in Nyssa (that was were I was working at the time). The tires were so new, the nubbins were still on all four tires, and I couldn't tell them from unused literally. Zero tread wear. I tell the guy at Scab one of the tires is separating and needs replaced. He says show me the papers. I tell him I just bought it and there wasn't any papers. He tells me "I guess you're screwed...". I pointed at the banner up on the wall right behind him where it says something about everything they sell is under warranty (I don't remember the exact wording.) He shrugs his shoulders and turns around, leaving me to stand there. Customer service at its worst. Irregardless if I had the "papers" or not, he needed a tune-up from Les. Haven't walked into another one since. Screw Les Scab. And whilst you got me fired up about tire shops, I will NEVER walk into that Rogers tires in Caldwell on the Blvd. If I could tell you guys a story I know about the guy that runs that place...........
On a happy note: I found that Meridian Ford was very honest and fair. They stuck to their $150 quote and didn't try and pull any BS.
Les Schwab will warranty their tires no matter who purchased them.when LadyGlock bought one of her cars, it had two sets of shwabby tires with it. when she got flats, she just took it by les schwab and said i need a flat fixed, they said no problem and no charge.SM
